GameStop is looking for a number of great employees

By: Greg Jackson

It has to be that time of year once more, when everybody is shopping in quest of gifts for their friends and relatives. It always looks as though that the go-to gift for some is a gift card or some type of shower set (here’s a tip to guys out there who believe the shower sets are good ideas: They’re really not; chances are whoever you’re getting the shower set for by now has 20 of them).

Because of the time of year, GameStop is trying to hire 15,000 seasonal personnel. The positions are all part time and just pay minimum wage, but the touch of money that the store is giving is an improvement on what some individuals are collecting right now: zilch.

GameStop does something such as this each year. It hires this many seasonal personnel beginning in the fall and their time is finished on December 24.

The largest jump will be the “video game advisers” which are the associates in the store who are destined to help shoppers select video games. There will be 78% additional of these than there are at present. Truthfully, I have never heard of a game adviser in my local GameStop. The most guidance I have ever gotten on a game is “That video game is really cool.”

You can really tell how much commerce the corporation expects over the holiday season for the reason that the 15,000 seasonal personnel means that the employee base for the company increases by almost 50%.

This also goes along with most retail stores’ holiday plans. After all, most of the business that retail establishments do is done over the holiday season.

Concerned in learning further about minimum wage then think about stopping by Lucrative Investing.
